// The Meaning of N-Zenith
In the Rig Veda, the root नक्ष् (nakṣ) carries two meanings that seem distinct but are the same motion: to attain — and to shine.
You do not reach the summit and then glow. The climbing is the glow. The reaching is the light. From this root, the Vedic seers gave us नक्षत्र (nakṣatra) — the stars themselves — as if to say: every star is a point that has been reached, every point of light a destination attained.
Then zenith — in Vedic Jyotisha, the मध्यम (madhyama), the midheaven. In a birth chart, this is the 10th house: karmāṁśa. The house where effort takes shape. Not a seat you inherit, but a point you arrive at through what you build.
So नक्ष् + zenith = the luminous apex of attainment.
